Foundation Series

Essential Mathematics Book 7f has been written for pupils in Year 7 who are working towards or have attained National Curriculum Level 3. It is also designed for students who have only just succeeded at Level 4.
The material covers selected topics from the NNS Year 7 guide with Support material from the earlier Key Stage programmes. There is a comprehensive NNS guide at the start of the book with references to all topics.
There is no set path through the books but topics appear in the order suggested in the NNS planning charts. Broadly speaking, the book is split into six parts with a review section for use as revision or test material at the end of each half term.
Each topic is broken down into two sections. Section M is the main activity and should be suitable for all children at this level. Section E is the extension work. Pupils may move onto this work after Section M, or teachers will judge that a number of students should only tackle section E.
